Kenneth R. Cervone
M.D., F.A.A.O.S. Founder & Inventor
Dr. Cervone, a board-certified orthopedic surgeon, earned his medical degree from Wayne State University in 1991. After finishing his Orthopedic residency in Detroit, Michigan he joined a large group practice in metro Detroit with two offices and physical therapy facilities. His practice focuses on disorders and treatment of the rotator cuff and shoulder osteoarthritis utilizing state-of-the art technology, including biologics and 3D computer-guided, virtual, and robotic surgical techniques.
Dr. Cervone became frustrated by his patients’ lack of compliance with the technically challenging rotator cuff exercises after physical therapy. Understanding that convenience and simplicity would promote compliance, he embarked on a quest to solve the problem by providing a quick and convenient platform to train the rotator cuff muscles properly.
Dr. Cervone is the past Chairman of the Department of Orthopedics at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital in Clinton Township, Michigan. During his 18 years at the helm of the Level 2 Trauma Center, he understood the importance and effectiveness of a team approach— coordinating the efforts of multiple departments in order to achieve the common goal of quality patient care. He continues with this team approach in delivering the NuShoulder® System for optimal rotator cuff training and a healthy, pain-free shoulder.
